Position Overview
The Senior Systems Engineer - Citrix role has primary responsibility for end-to-end support and management of the Citrix Platform. General duties include building to standards, monitoringtuning, capacity planning, vulnerability management, disaster recovery, continuous improvement, and assisting in the long term strategic planning for the environment. Strong technical support, people skills and the ability to balance a large work load are essential.
Key Accountabilities

• Administer and support core technologies (Published apps, VDI, Workspace, Profile Mgmt, Netscalers)
• Define, document, and implement Citrix best practices and support procedures.
• Technical Leadership duties include working with Advanced and Lead Engineers to support the Citrix environment.
• Secondary support role includes, but not limited to, Windows Server, AD, and VMWARE.
• Work closely with various business users to define solutions that meet user expectations while identifying improvement opportunities and facilitating innovation.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to present and explain technical information to diverse types of audiences (management, users, vendors, technical staff) in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding. Ability to write clear proposals and technical documents.
• Strong interpersonal skills at all levels of management and ability to motivate employees/teams to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems; excellent teamwork skills
• Effectively managing small to large projects in a cross-functional environment
• Support the definition and development of documentation, procedures, and standards for Citrix / Windows Server /AD / VMWARE enterprise environments
• Assist in the root cause analysis for problems and drive strong preventive actions
• Participates in the on-call production support rotation and may occasionally be required to work hours outside of the traditional work schedule.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5-10 years of related experience.
• Experience building and deploying server based solutions leveraging virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX, Microsoft HyperV/Virtual Server or equivalent
• Understanding of HPE technologies like Proliant Servers, Synergy and Nimble technologies.
• Extensive Knowledge of Citrix 7.15 and higher / Windows Server / Active Directory / VMWare enterprise performance monitoring, backuprecovery methods and disaster recovery scenarios.

Certifications desired:

• Citrix Certified Engineer or Citrix Certified Professional
• CompTIA Server+
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
• VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization
