The Role:
We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. As a Senior Systems Engineer this role will be part of an agile team supporting Business Transformation initiatives as well as CIO support. This will involve supporting systems engineering and design including Azure/SQL, Rest API's, Data (Snowflake, SQL, SSIS, Alteryx), Configurations, Automation (Microsoft/Automated Workflows), RPA (UiPath), Process Mining and Discovery as well as Security / Access / Vault tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.).
Position Purpose:
Manages Centene's computer systems and networks. Manages vendor evaluations, modifies and/or debugs vendor-supplied utilities and packages, and prepares technical documentation for telecommunications, network, and system software applications.
Defines system and product requirements and generate software / hardware performance and reliability specifications and requirements.
Leads the evaluation, design, and integration of all enhancements or new releases of the system.
Leads the enhancement of processes, procedures, and policies relating to systems functioning and performance.
Meets with management team of multiple functional areas and vendors on the planning, upgrading, testing, securing, and servicing of IT solutions.
Designs and implement architecturally compliant system landscapes.
Develops, modifies, tests, implements, documents, and maintains systems software and hardware.
Troubleshoots and resolves server, operating system, and other infrastructure problems.
Monitors systems and networks for viruses, malfunctions, and errors.
Prepares network analytics, data reports, and operational manuals.
Performs troubleshooting and remediation, ensure successful project implementation, and perform post project end user support.
Manages project timelines, budgets, and documentation.
Trains the engineering team on new systems, protocols, and best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
Additionally you will bring:
A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
Requires 4 - 6 years of related experience.
Master's Degree Computer science, information systems, or similar field preferred
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Technical Skills:
Experience with Azure or AWS or GCP required
Experience with SQL, SSIS, Snowflake, and Alteryx required
Experience with Rest API's required
Experience with Security / Access / Vault tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk required
Experience with Cyber Security required
Experience with Other: PowerShell and Endpoint Engineering, network protocols required
Soft Skills:
