The primary responsibility of our System Verification team is to ensure that we deliver products with quality that meets our customer's expectations. As the Senior System Verification and Test Engineer, you will lead the creation, implementation, and execution of a System Verification Plan for new electronic devices. In this role, you will be working closely in an Engineering Design Team focused on verifying Systems, Firmware and Software Design and Implementation Changes on Electro-mechanical Locking Devices and Access Control Devices, Communication Gateways, and Mobile Applications. You will work closely with both Systems and Firmware Engineers in making sure that products assigned are functioning as defined within the System and Firmware Requirements. You will be responsible for creating and leveraging existing automation tools and techniques to create, perform, and execute test cases for full product verification of assigned projects. You will also work closely with other System Test Engineers within the team both in the US as well as in India, leveraging other test peers in executing System Verification Testing for assigned products.

This role's product development and sustaining test activities are primarily within an IoT environment including the connectivity of Electro-mechanical Locking Devices, Gateway/Bridge Communication, Access Control, Mobile Applications and Cloud components. Thus, experience in IoT test development for wireless communication between connected devices within a networked space is a strong differentiator, along with the demonstration of creating custom internal software tools in order to automate software testing interfaces.

Job Duties include:

• Lead, develop, and execute the System Verification Test Plan for new and existing products
• Work closely with Systems, Firmware and Software Engineers early in the product design to understand and create test cases that meet all requirements of the System being designed
• Automate test cases utilizing existing automation tools as well as developing new methods to validate the functionality of a product
• Test sequence creation using National Instruments TestStand Software
• Develop custom software tools for testing new product interfaces and component level building blocks
• Develop Communication Interfaces utilizing National Instruments LabVIEW Software
• Develop new methods for testing communication protocols such as BLE, ZigBee, and Wi-Fi
• Develop new methods allowing for Automation of IoT wireless communication / mobile application test development
• Leverage on-site 3D Printers in creating custom fixturing and testing interfaces
• Perform and Document Exploratory Testing of a System with little to no guidance
• Work closely with Test Engineering Peers both in the US and India in executing the System Test Plan
• Creation and Review of the System Test Report documenting all findings during Test Cycle
• Retesting defects and dispositioning Firmware bugs that have been addressed in future test cycles
• Work closely with Application Engineers in assisting in field support issue resolution
• Set up and recreating field issues as reported back into Engineering
• Provide System Test readiness and updates back to the Program Teams on project status
• Capable of supporting multiple test cycle events on multiple projects simultaneously
• Capable of identifying projects that can improve System Test Team's capabilities either through new Automation Techniques or changes to Manual Testing
• Capable of managing System Test Project Readiness with little to no guidance from the Program Teams
• Willingness to supplement Automation Testing with Manual Testing as needed based upon Product and Test readiness
• Ability to work with Firmware and System Engineers in replication and debugging of issues identified during testing

Knowledge & Work Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in creating automated testing methods for product verification of Systems and Firmware
• Demonstrated experience in creating and execution of System Test Plan
• Demonstrated experience around IoT Wireless Communication and Mobile Application Verification and Testing desired
• Demonstrated experience in working within Engineering Teams with product design from concept to production
• National Instrument TestStand and LabVIEW Software Experience a plus
• Strong automated test development experience
• Strong problem solving and resolution experience
• Software scripting tools such as Python, Seetest, etc a plus
• Desire to work in a dynamic environment, where product scope and requirements can change during any phase of a project
• Previous experience with low-power wireless communications products is beneficial (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, ZigBee, etc.)
• Must be a creative thinker with high initiative and achievement goals
• Willingness to work with International Engineering Teams particularly in India

Education & Minimum Years of Experience:

• BS in EE, EET, CE, CET or related field
• 5 plus years of experience in Product Development or Sustaining focused on Embedded Systems, Firmware, and Software Verification
