Job Summary

This is an opportunity to be a member of Altice USA Business Insights & Strategy team, delivering strategic knowledge from the Enterprise's data assets through Business Intelligence and Data Visualization platforms.

The Senior Tableau Developer position will be a key enabler of BI Business Analysis/Data Analysis/Data Quality strategy and will be highly influential in helping to shape its future direction to meet our clients' needs for high quality, complete, accurate and timely data in Altice BI (ABI) product and solutions. This role will be working alongside with BI Backend developers, Business Analysts, Data Analysts, Data Quality teams and reporting to the Business Insights Manager. This role will be responsible for driving projects end to end, from requirements gathering to delivery to the client.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Enterprise data visualizations to help drive BI strategy which aligns with Company goals.
• Work with business users to understand requirements and build professional level dashboards that answer business questions.
• Accurate information and knowledge collaboration with upstream and downstream Enterprise applications.
• Executive Dashboard development lifecycle discipline.
• Assist with creating project resource estimates, metrics to track completion phase, defect reports, defect prevention, development efficiency and quality.
• Prepare unit tests and turnover for test results review.
• Connect and map complex datasets to Enterprise needs, delivering data exploration and visualization experiences that showcase data in an actionable format.
• Participate in data modeling, business process analysis and development of reporting functional and technical specifications.
• Develop and curate best practices and procedures for Data Visualization tools and architecture.
• Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance and Data Mining Leads to apply standards and evolve process to ensure solutions abide by best practice principles.
• Demonstrate ability to plan and execute complex initiatives.
• Manage all data visualization architecture and development designs ensuring maximum flexibility for future enhancements.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of Business operations and upstream / downstream applications.
• Charged with managing multiple projects across all functions of the business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct Tableau experience with an understanding of advanced features such as LOD expressions
• An understanding of layout design along with design principles necessary to tell a story visually
• 2+ years of experience using Alteryx data integration tool
• Competencies with RDBMS such as Google BQ
• Competencies in database architectures such as relative, star and snowflake schemas
• Ability to thoroughly research subjects to support reporting application project work
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to optimize, analyze, and improve existing queries
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills, including mapping of business need or issue todevelopment of application requirements or procedural initiatives
• Strong understanding of reporting and database environments, processes, and associated applications
• Proven ability to ensure effective forms of documentation essential for support of overall technical and user needs
• Positive attitude with lots of energy
• Highly detail oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task and work in a very fast paced environment
• Ability to exercise discretion on sensitive or confidential matters
• Good Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
