You’ll play a pivotal role in designing inclusive interview processes and sourcing techniques to attract exceptionally diverse candidates. Join us on this exciting journey and play a vital role in shaping the future of VentureWell through the power of exceptional talent.

Responsibilities:

Fill Open Roles (75%):

  • Partner with hiring managers to: write accurate and compelling job descriptions and scorecards, design effective and inclusive interview processes, including assignments and questions to collect the right evidence, and make objective and equitable hiring outcomes
  • Coach hiring managers on effective interview techniques, model effective interviewing, and guide them through evidence-based decision-making
  • Coach and counsel hiring managers around talent acquisition strategies in order to increase their proficiency and engagement in sourcing and attracting top talent
  • Use a variety of sourcing techniques to find exceptional and diverse candidates for full-time and temporary roles
  • Review resumes and phone screen exceptional candidates and present them to the hiring manager
  • Proactively build a pipeline of exceptional and diverse talent for roles on staff, including identifying, meeting with, and cultivating top talent for future roles

Talent Acquisition Projects (20%):

  • Create and iterate on staffing models to meet VentureWell’s growth strategy, including the advancement of a talent community strategy
  • Improve efficiency and use of our Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse)
  • Advocate consistency and standards in recruitment policies and practices and help document such policies
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems, processes, and policies and that optimize attracting and hiring high performing individuals 
  • Other strategic project work as needed

Other People & Culture Responsibilities (5%):

  • Key contributor to VentureWell’s efforts to embed its core values and commitments to DEI and environmental sustainability throughout the organization 
  • Play a key role in VentureWell’s strategic initiative around culture, capacity, and capabilities

What You Bring:

  • At least 10 years of experience in talent acquisition; familiarity with non-profits preferred
  • Deep experience and success in all aspects of talent acquisition
  • Significant experience advancing equity as a mission-critical facet of HR, including recruiting a workforce that is diverse by gender, race, class, and sexual orientation, among other important group identities
  • Exemplary track record supporting hiring managers grow their teams
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills in communicating internally within the organization and externally with prospects, applicants, job boards and other recruiting sites
  • Knowledge of how race, racism, class, classism, gender, sexism, and related equity issues show up in the work of mission-inspired organizations and their programs
  • Exemplary ethical standards, discretion, and an excellent track record of managing confidential matters and developing trust with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail

Our Benefits:

  • An attractive and equitable compensation package, including: 
    • a salary range of $100k-$120k commensurate with experience and internal equity
    • 403 (b) with 200% match up to a maximum contribution from VentureWell of 10% when the employee puts it 5% (eligible after one year of service for the match)
