Job Overview:

APTIM is looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist (Recruiter) that is responsible for all steps associated with the talent acquisition, recruiting, sourcing and selection of external qualified candidates. The ability to develop strong communication channels with external candidates and a variety of internal managers and executives over multiple business lines is crucial for success. Performs other duties as required.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Work closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and determine best recruiting practices to attract the most highly qualified candidates; must have a good working knowledge and understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Research, source (using referrals, data mining and internet resources), evaluate resumes, conduct screening interviews to qualify candidates and present candidates to hiring managers
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for current and projected hiring needs
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand lines of business and hiring needs
  • Partner with HR to provide best practices and customer service to hiring community
  • Will be responsible for staffing related metrics which are reviewed per business line
  • Will coach less experienced team members
  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years current experience successfully recruiting or talent acquisition
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with applicant tracking systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to develop strong communication channels with external candidates and a variety of internal managers and executives over multiple business lines.
  • Must be highly adaptable and have the ability to manage a requisition load that is cyclical and fast paced
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking System preferred
  • Ability to work in a high stress fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently within a team centric environment with minimal guidance
  • Proven ability to develop long term business relationships with candidates and managers
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong prioritization skills
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Able to apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations
  • Ability to use creative and analytical thinking for problem solving
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve service to hiring community
  • Proactively searches for additional training for self-development to remain current in respective field
  • Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and interface with all levels of management
