Role/ Department: Senior Talent Consultant/Talent Management
The Senior Talent Consultant will partner with HRBPs and business leaders to implement and execute talent management, leadership development, and team effectiveness practices and programs in alignment with Northern Trust corporate objectives and priorities. Reporting to the Talent Advisory Lead – Corporate Functions and IT, this role supports Global corporate functions and IT across the TM&D horizontals to address organizational needs and drive performance excellence. Key areas of focus will include performance management and calibration, leadership, team and partner development, and organization effectiveness.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
· Partners with HR to implement and execute Talent Management & Development practices and programs including but not limited to: succession planning, performance management, leadership selection and assessment, official title promotions, and engagement surveys.
· Assesses emerging business talent needs and works collaboratively with the TM&D team to identify effective solutions, including the effective use of tools, team building activities, and development activities to support leaders in creating an engaged environment.
· Champions the individual development of leaders, managers and emerging talent.
· Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the TM&D team by conducting research, analyzing programs, and providing critical feedback that helps solve team problems or improve the end user experience.
· Researches and stays abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent management to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Skills/Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Organizational Development/Behavior, I/O Psychology, Business or a related field.
· Minimum 8 years of experience in talent management or organizational development, with a proven track record in a similar role preferred.
· Expertise in talent management, leadership and employee development, learning and skilling practices and blended learning strategies for all levels of employees and leaders.
· Familiarity with data analysis, metrics, and dashboards.
· Solid project management skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams to successful completion.
· Change management skills and ability to drive understanding and adoption.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
· Strong executive presence, including preparing and facilitating executive presentations and influencing executive-level decision-making.
