ABOUT THE TALENT TEAM
BerlinRosen’s Talent team leads full-cycle recruiting across the firm and at all levels, from role approval through start date. We serve as strategic partners to our executive team, hiring managers and department heads to design and build a talent function that invests in our people, provides high quality candidate experience and ensures all hiring-related work is done with excellence. The Talent team is rapidly growing in terms of people (we have doubled in size over the last year) and scope of work as we lead recruitment and play a key role in overall people operations as well as supporting our acquired companies.Â
ABOUT THIS ROLE
BerlinRosen is seeking a Senior Talent Manager who will be dedicated to supporting the teams at Derris and Glen Echo, two of our recent acquisitions. You will collaborate with other Talent Managers, and serve as a key thought-partner to our executive team and department leads in designing and building a world-class organization, collaborating to invest in our most important asset: our people.
This is an opportunity to deepen your talent acquisition experience and take ownership over all facets of recruiting work for your departments. Ideally, you have 4+ years of full-time experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or related disciplines—preferably in a related field (such as a start-up) or a comparable fast-paced environment (such as an agency)—and you have been responsible for making a high number of hires previously.Â
Role location: This role is available on a remote basis within the United States on Eastern Time or within one of our offices (New York, N.Y., Washington, D.C., or Los Angeles, C.A.) on a hybrid basis. On an optional basis, our New York, N.Y. and Washington, D.C. offices are currently open to staff. Proof of vaccination is required to work in any of BerlinRosen’s offices.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
As a Senior Talent Manager, you will be responsible for...
- Establishing and maintaining a deep understanding of your client department(s) and how they operate
- Partnering with hiring managers to finalize specifics of role scope, scorecard, search timeline, interview sequence, contract type and other elements of a given search
- Running weekly search meetings with hiring managers, staying organized, giving updates and holding others accountable for action items
- Overseeing the process of how candidates move through our applicant tracking system in a timely fashion
- Managing search processes from start (search approval & kick-off) to finish (new hire start date)
- Conducting screening calls or joining interviews as a People Team representative and/or participating in later stages of the selection process as needed, depending on the role
- Using, iterating and evolving a comprehensive set of best-practice processes, tools, checklists and templates for recruiting and hiring at BerlinRosen
- Developing talent pools/pipelines of passive candidates for forecasted/upcoming seats in your client departments
- Staying up to speed on talent market dynamics for roles related to your client department(s)
- Supporting the Senior Director of Talent and company department leads in designing and executing team-building and culture design work
- Supporting in workflows associated with recruiting interns
Essential skills:
- 4+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, people operations or related disciplines
- Previously accountable for—or heavily involved in—successfully hiring at least 35+ people in settings that are relevant to BerlinRosen (e.g. a successful startup, a digital agency, a dynamic nonprofit, or similar)
- Communicates in a clear, clean way at all times and in all settings (when speaking, writing, etc.)
- Naturally well-organized, not only managing their own tasks with excellence but continuously elevating the organization of the entire People Team, as well
- Adept at keeping all stakeholders apprised of the process, relevant information, the status of deliverables, etc.
- Effective troubleshooting skills, particularly under tight timelines or in response to last-minute change of plans
- An eye for efficiency and constantly looking for ways to improve, streamline, and simplify processes
- Strong experience with digital tools and an interest in demo’ing and evaluating possible new tools to use to increase efficiencyÂ

WORKING AT BERLINROSEN
Compensation philosophy: BerlinRosen offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience and is as follows:Â
- Starting minimum: $100,000
- Role cap: $125,000
Senior Talent Managers are eligible for end of year bonuses based on firm, team, and individual performance.
