Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tax accounting and financial planning, with the ability to navigate complex tax regulations and provide strategic insights for our clients. This role requires a high level of technical expertise in accounting software and public accounting practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Duties β€’ Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. β€’ Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities for clients. β€’ Assist in the development of tax strategies that align with clients' financial goals, including private equity investments and financial sales initiatives. β€’ Manage general ledger reconciliation processes to maintain accurate financial records. β€’ Collaborate with other accounting professionals to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to technical accounting standards. β€’ Provide guidance on financial planning matters, helping clients make informed investment decisions. β€’ Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact client accounts or business operations. β€’ Mentor junior staff members, providing training on best practices in tax preparation and accounting software usage. Requirements β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred. β€’ Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or a similar role focused on tax accounting. β€’ Strong knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and financial accounting principles. β€’ Proficiency in accounting software applications; experience with advanced financial tools is a plus. β€’ Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. β€’ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients and team members. β€’ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. β€’ Experience in private equity or financial planning is highly desirable but not mandatory.
