Senior Tax Accountant

Senior Tax Accountant Location: Schertz, TX | Firm Type: Small Public Accounting Firm We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing public accounting practice. This role focuses on tax preparation, tax return review, and providing proactive tax advising to both individual and business clients. The ideal candidate will be a licensed CPA or EA with strong technical tax expertise and a client-service mindset. Responsibilities • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. • Provide tax planning and consulting to clients on complex issues. • Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and service. • Stay current on tax law changes and best practices. • Contribute to process improvements and support junior staff as needed. Qualifications • CPA or EA license required. • Minimum of 5 years of recent tax experience in public accounting. • Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and compliance. • Proficiency with tax preparation software and office productivity tools. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
