About the position

The Keyfactor team is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant.  This is a new position which will report to the Global Director of Tax.  The Senior Tax Accountant will support domestic and international corporate income and indirect tax matters, including tax compliance, tax accounting, tax planning, tax research, VAT, payroll, and sales and use for the Keyfactor Group of Companies.  The role with work closely with our external accounting firm.  Keyfactor has subsidiaries in Sweden, US, UK, Spain, France, Germany, and Australia.

The position is based in Independence, Ohio office and can be performed remotely when necessary. Applicants must hold United States citizenship or United States permanent resident status.

RESONSIBILITIES

• Prepare global tax accounting provision for financial statement presentation
• Research international VAT, withholding and income tax implications of entering new markets
• Research opportunities to reduce Keyfactor’s cash taxes and effective tax rate
• Maintain and analyze general ledger tax account accruals
• Prepare and file sales tax and VAT returns monthly, quarterly and annually
• Review federal and state tax returns prepared by external consultants and provide information requests
• Prepare tax estimates
• Own and manage tax compliance calendar
• Register for payroll, sales, use, income tax with new nexus jurisdictions as well as other administrative filings
• Work directly with federal, state, and international jurisdictions to resolve notices, inquiries and audits
• Design improved processes and controls to reduce risk and streamline tax compliance and reporting

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
• Strong research and communication skills
• 2-4 years corporate tax experience at large public firm or large multinational corporation
• Knowledge of state, local and international tax
• Experience with NetSuite a plus
• CPA preferred

COMPENSATION

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
