The Global Client Tax Services Group provides tax preparation and reporting services to affluent individuals and families, foundations, endowments, estates, and corporations. This position is responsible for updating and maintaining tax lot details on accounts where there is a tax filing responsibility on Form 1099 or Form 1041. You will interact with client servicing teams, operational groups across the organization, other tax professionals. You will cross train and participate in various projects across the tax department.

Major Duties

1. Manage an account load of high-profile clients and routinely process Federal Estate Tax cost updates, update cost on transfers, specific lot identification for sales, gifts.
2. Research, resolve, and respond to internal and external partner inquiries.
3. Process complex events such as Corporate Actions and Federal Estate Tax updates.
4. Assists with inquiries and tasks associated with the Team's shared mailbox.
5. Participate in various special projects, assignments, and training.
6. Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable tax laws and regulations in relation to cost basis reporting rules.

• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with clients, colleagues, third parties and tax authorities.
• Advanced written and oral communication skills.
• Adaptable and analytical thinker.
• Work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
• Intellectual curiosity, initiative, personal organization, motivation, and ownership of one's work.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, predominantly Excel.

The successful candidate will benefit from having the following competencies:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with Thomson ONESOURCE is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills are essential, to ensure the team meets tight deadlines.
• 1-3 years of prior tax experience preferred, but not necessary.
