Senior Tax Manager

We are now looking for a Senior Tax Manager to join our high performing and innovative team. The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the USA and Canadian federal, state and county/city level tax compliances. Specific responsibilities include working with the Global Tax Director on strategy and planning, including Mergers & Acquisitions and tax due diligence. You will have oversight of income tax returns, sales & use tax returns, property tax returns and franchise tax filings and prepare monthly and annual tax provision calculations.

Responsibilities:

• Review of USA and Canada tax compliance including Federal, State and Country/City income tax returns, franchise tax returns, Sales & Use tax returns, Property tax returns
• Review of monthly tax provision calculations and annual tax provision for financial accounts
• Management of tax audits and reviews by Government Authorities
• Undertaking tax research to provide technically accurate tax advice to the business
• Monitoring tax legislative changes and communicating any changes that impact the company to the appropriate stakeholders
• Coordinating with local tax advisors where required
• Contributing to tax planning projects and strategy development in consultation with the Global Tax Manager

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• 8+ years' experience in a public accounting tax group or in a similar tax role in industry
• Experience with both federal and state tax laws
• Experience and passion for leading and developing your team
• A commercial mindset
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Great communication and stakeholder management skills
• Driven and ambitious
