Senior Technical Accounting Manager

As the Senior Accounting Manager, focusing on technical accounting and external reporting, you will report to the Controller and work within the broader Finance/Accounting team to ensure that Boston Dynamics' financial reporting to investors and other stakeholders is in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS (as required).

The primary responsibilities of this role are as follows:

• Draft annual and quarterly financial statements in conformity with US GAAP and/or IFRS, as required.
• Participate in month-end close process to support the Finance/Accounting team in ensuring close deadlines are met.
• Communicate with the Finance/Accounting team on any changes to technical guidance that are relevant to Boston Dynamics, and ensure accounting policies exist and/or are up to date based on most recent US GAAP and IFRS guidance.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and supporting schedules as required by Company processes, working with the Accounting and FP&A teams to ensure compliance with Boston Dynamics' reporting requirements.
• Support the Finance functions with ad-hoc projects as necessary to ensure smooth integration of changing business practices with the reporting function; this includes assessment, documentation, and refinement of accounting and reporting processes and controls to align with company and investor requirements.

Qualifications for this role are as follows:

• B.A/B.S in Accounting or equivalent required, CPA preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting and 5 years corporate manufacturing experience
• At least 5 years of leading a small team and working with external consultants
• Experience in US GAAP and/or IFRS reporting requirements
• Working knowledge of Rootstock or Salesforce is preferred
• Experience in financial reporting and auditing are required
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, highly adaptable & flexible
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
