Senior Technical Curriculum Developer
Job Description
As a Senior Technical Curriculum Developer, you will join our Customer Education & Training team to help us deliver exceptional learning content to our customers, including the Datadog Learning Center , workshops, and certifications. Working closely with our engineering, product, and customer success teams, you will work hands-on with the technologies Datadog monitors. You have strong technical and instructional expertise to create new self-paced and instructor-led training for our customers. You will improve existing learning content for the ever-expanding solutions that we offer.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with our engineering and product teams to produce engaging high quality training courses and content for Datadog's customer and partner curriculums
- Collaborate with senior team members to evaluate customer training requirements, and turn those requirements into a roadmap with clearly scoped courses that have well defined learning paths
- Communicate with customers to understand their technical needs in order to build courses that help them become proficient in using Datadog products
- Create high quality courses that can be delivered both as self paced online programs or instructor-led training
- Review courses created by other curriculum developers and coach them to improve the technical and instructional quality of their work in line with their manager's quarterly milestones
- Develop supplemental and supporting courseware and documentation, including workshops and hands-on labs
- Help create and maintain the technical systems and environments used in hands-on labs
Who You Are:
- You are an experienced technical curriculum developer, building eLearning curriculum, hands-on labs, and instructor-led training material for an engineering and developer audience
- You have hands-on experience, specialist knowledge, or other experience in building learning content in cloud infrastructure, full-stack web development, mobile development, and/or microservices.
- Bonus points if you have been in a hands-on technical role previously and have interest in getting involved in training operations (design, functionality of the Learning Center, and internal tooling)
- You are able to transform dry technical topics into engaging, informative and interesting educational materials.
Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you're passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
Benefits and Growth:
- New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)
- Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing
- Intradepartmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networking
- An inclusive company culture, ability to join our Community Guilds (Datadog employee resource groups)
- Access to Inclusion Talks, our Internal panel discussions
- Free, global mental health benefits for employees and dependents age 6+
- Competitive global benefits
Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.
The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $136,000 to $174,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.
