WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We're looking for a Sr. Technical Developer with expertise working across multiple product types having experience in project management, construction, fit standards, 3D software, graphics, textiles, and trims to be part of our development team within Nike Accessories working specifically on Bags, Socks, and Headwear product types for our Catalyst Business Partners.

The ideal candidate needs to be a creative problem solver and forward thinking with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders. A key part of this role is understanding the full scope of the product creation process, calendar deadlines, and project management. You'll be able to work across Bags, Socks, and Headwear product types managing all stages from design concept to commercialization. You'll be part of discussions to meet on-time delivery dates, supporting the team with technical recommendations that serve our athletes and consumers as well as communicating issues or offering solutions in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

The Sr. Technical Developer will manage all Accessories Development projects for our Catalyst business partners. You will sit with and be a member of the Accessories Product Development team while working directly and independently with the Catalyst Product Team. You will be responsible for the commercialization of all three product types: Bags, Socks, and Headwear. In addition to working closely with the Catalyst Product Team, you'll collaborate with Product Teams, including PM, Development, Design, and Product Creation Centers within the greater Accessories organization. As a Sr. Tech Developer you'll build traditional 2D Tech Packs as well as Tech Packs using 3D Software (CLO preferred). You will lead proto review sessions ensuring clear communication between all business partners, providing product solutions, ensuring timely commercialization to meet various sample and buy ready deadlines.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

The Sr. Technical Developer will work closely with Catalyst business partners outside of the Accessories organization including Product Management, Design, and Operations. You will also work with development counterparts within Accessories.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING?

- Bachelor's degree in apparel design, textile science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

- 4+ years of technical development experience in the apparel industry (Bags, Socks, and Headwear specific experience desired). This includes the product development process from inception through production including construction, materials, graphic/trim development, costing, manufacturing and quality.

- Ability to work across multiple teams and product types

- Experience using 3D software preferred (Clo highly desired)

- Experience using Adobe Illustrator ad Photoshop

- Graphic Development Expertise

- Strong problem solving, organization and communication skills.

- Experience interpreting design intent, offering alternative solutions, and acting as a technical resource.

- Experience writing product specs and construction standards instructions.

- Experience working with factory vendors to ensure and improve manufacturability.

- Ability to manage multiple projects.

- Proficiency with MS Office programs.

- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (domestic and international).
