Responsibilities

• Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple-to-understand, polished, and engaging content
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
• Write easy-to-understand technical documentation, getting started documentation, and user guides
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
• Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
• Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation

Requirements and skills

• 10+ years proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and graphics
• Excellent written skills in English, additional languages a plus
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development processes
