Senior Technical Lead, Engineering

The Person

We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Senior Technical Engineering Lead to join our team. This role involves both directly supporting project stakeholders and cross-functional project teams by guiding technology solutions, driving delivery outcomes and hands-on engineering. The ideal candidate will be someone who loves and is good at their craft, enjoys developing people, and is passionate about the mission of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and other teams and to define, plan, and prioritize engineering work
• Provide technical leadership within a cross-functional project team, aiding in mentoring engineers and providing feedback and guidance on their work and processes
• Actively participate in the design, development, and review of technical solutions
• Participate in the onboarding  of new engineering staff
• Ensure timely and high quality deliverable objectives are met
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment
• Facilitate and drive the discovery, documentation, and on-going maintenance of project-related artifacts such as requirements, specifications, and backlogs of work items.
• Support the mission and values of Servant in all interactions with team members and clients

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related industry experience
• A minimum of 7 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Direct experience working across diverse technology stacks and business verticals or industries
• Extensive experience working in Agile (Scrum, kanban, or similar) teams and related tooling (Jira, Atlassian, Azure DevOps, etc)
• Demonstrated experience in creation of requirements and specifications for software development projects
• Strong technical skills and extensive experience in software development
• Proven experience working as a part of remote teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for developing people and helping them to succeed
• A strong commitment to the mission and values of Servant
• Experience working in a consulting firm is a plus 
• Experience working with Christian organizations is a plus

Preferred Skills: 

• Experience in mobile app development/delivery to app stores is a plus (iOS, Android)
• Game development experience is a plus (Unity, Cocos2dx - C#, C++, etc)
