MatrixCare is looking for a leader responsible for growing and developing an incredible team of talented and motivated engineers. This position reports to our Senior Director of Hosting and will work closely with engineering leadership to continue to develop our Infrastructure team as a coordinated function within the Platform Engineering R&D group. Infrastructure team members are Software, Systems, and Cloud Engineers who specialize in large-scale distributed systems, low-level systems, and associated automation, tooling, and processes. This function supports and focuses on broad and fundamental technologies which MatrixCare relies upon.

Location: Only Candidates based in either USA / Canada( Remote work option available)

The Cloud Infrastructure & Operations team is primarily responsible for supporting, scaling, securing, and optimizing our production and development infrastructure, and is responsible for the implementation, design, and architecture of our infrastructure platform. In addition to this, the team drives operational excellence within MatrixCare's R&D group by enabling partner teams to up-level the health of their services in production, achieve desired reliability outcomes, and empowering them to self-serve in key areas of building, operating, and maintaining production services delivering a world-class customer experience.

We're looking for a technical and industry-experienced engineering manager to join us, leading and growing a team of talented engineers. The candidate must have extensive experience building and operating production and development systems. Principal Responsibilities
  • Follow and support corporate security policies, standards, and procedures as they apply to this role. Maintain customer and corporate privacy standards as outlined by HIPAA
  • Mentor, grow, and empower your team by giving them the skills, confidence, and motivation to make decisions independently that lead to their personal and professional success, and enable them to become technical leaders
  • Take an active role in driving and evolving the roadmap for the Platform Engineering Org, particularly in infrastructure automation and operations
  • Ensure teams and employees are adhering to Information Security, Regulatory Compliance, Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management processes/practices
  • Participate in deep technical design discussions within your team, and across partner teams, and ensure that we're building the right systems and keeping the quality high.
  • You can provide a strong technical and architectural vision for platforms, systems, and infrastructure
  • Provide input into infrastructure lifecycle, improvement, and standardization strategies
  • Drive the objectives associated with Problem Management; such as customer communication and Root Cause Analysis reports
  • Develop internal SOPs, processes, documentation, and training to ensure that team members have the needed skills and tools to support the production environments and deliver on project commitments
  • Drive vendors to achieve MatrixCares's expectations in regard to performance, reliability and other areas as appropriate
  • Work to automate management tasks, streamline processes, and improve reliability, uptime, efficiency, consistency, and security throughout the infrastructure
  • In cooperation with the Information Security Teams, lead hardware/software audits of MatrixCare's product environments for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures, and configuration guidelines
  • Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the management team

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ year's management and people leadership experience in the Service Delivery or IT/Cloud Operations areas
  • Experience leading a high-performance team of technical resources to achieve consistent and measurable results
  • Enthusiastic, high-energy individual, self-motivated, people-oriented, and self-directed
  • Cloud Services/IaaS engineering experience
  • Strong team management experience
  • Managed Services experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong organizational/business planning skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams
  • Vendor management experience
  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects
  • Flexibility in scheduling with a willingness to work extra non-standard hours as required
  • Demonstrable track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Sensitive Data Environments (PCI, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Must have a desire to help this company grow exponentially and jump in wherever necessary
  • Ability to exhibit desirable and appropriate behavior including integrity, ability to get along with others, team playing industriousness, supportive communication, sense of urgency and confidentiality and independent judgement to provide for a cohesive working environment dedicated to achieving the organization's goals.

  • Ability to work non-standard hours including weekends and holidays, as required
