Senior Technical Marketing Manager

American Battery Solutions / AESI has a full-time opening for a Senior Technical Marketing Manager in Hudson, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

The Senior Technical Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive technical marketing strategies that position our revolutionary battery energy storage solutions in the market and drive demand among diverse customer segments.

Responsibilities:

• Market strategy: Develop and execute technical marketing strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives, to effectively position our battery energy storage products.
• Technical content: Lead the creation of technical content, including whitepapers, case studies, product datasheets and technical documentation, that effectively communicate the value proposition of our technology.
• Product positioning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and articulate product positioning and messaging that resonates with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Sales enablement: Work closely with the sales team to provide them with the necessary technical tools, training, and collateral to facilitate successful customer engagements.
• Market research: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities and customer needs to ensure our positioning remains competitive and meets market demands.
• Lead generation: Develop and oversee lead generation campaigns that target specific customer segments and support sales efforts.
• Technical expertise: Serve as the technical expert, providing guidance and insights to ensure accurate and impactful communication.
• Website, CRM, and other technologies: Responsible for daily oversight of the company website, including user experience, content strategy, content management, reporting and developing site enhancements; ensure CRM connections and immediate action upon all inquiries through effective workflows.
• Analytics and optimization: Continuously monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize marketing strategies for maximum impact.
• Customer education: Develop technical materials and deliver webinars and presentations for customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with product development, engineering, and sales teams to ensure alignment on product launches and marketing campaigns.
• Event participation: Collaborates, participates in, and coordinates promotional activities, conferences, or trade shows.
• Managerial accountability: Develop marketing and pricing strategies, generate new business leads, negotiates contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy.

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or another related field.
• Master's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years in technical marketing roles within technology sector; experience in the energy industry preferred.
• Ability to quickly develop a deep technical understanding of battery energy storage systems and renewable energy technologies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
• Experience with marketing automation tools, data analytics and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
• Prior technical understanding of battery energy storage systems and renewable energy technologies preferred.
• Curricular development and/or content module planning/execution experience preferred.
• Experience with MAP, GA4 and Salesforce experience preferred.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to lead and mentor.
• Required travel as needed.
