COMPANY: Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. LOCATION: 168 Third Avenue, Waltham, MA 02541 TITLE: Senior Technical Program Manager HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm DUTIES: Execute strategic technical programs as Project Manager by defining projects, identifying risks, managing cost, coordinating scope, identifying dependencies, scheduling, and deploying new products and features. Engage with teams and leadership to lead design and development of data products. Take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces to deliver them in a successful and timely manner. Lead communities of practice to enable craftsmanship for product owners, development engineers, quality, scrum masters and agile program managers. Anticipate risks, manage escalations, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balancing the business needs versus technical constraints. Create a culture that empowers self-organizing teams, with a focus on accountability, adaptability, quality, and speed to market. Drive execution and facilitate SAFe processes, accelerate value delivery, collaborate across 4 to 5 Scrum teams, escalate impediments, manage risk. Supervise/mentor Junior PM's /scrum masters and mentor. TRAVEL: Can work remotely or telecommute. REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or closely related field of study. MINIMUM Experience Requirement: 10 years of experience in Technical Development, Program Management, or related experience. Alternative Education and Experience Requirement: Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or closely related field of study, plus 8 years of experience in technical development, program management, or related experience.
