BlackSky is seeking a strong Senior Project Coordinator to orchestrate the seamless execution of projects aimed at extending our product capabilities and integrating advanced geospatial data into customer workflows. This successful candidate will facilitate the management and coordination of projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication across cross-functional teams. This role requires strong project coordinating skills, including managing timelines, coordinating tasks, and ensuring seamless communication among cross-functional teams. This role requires strong project coordination skills, encompassing technical proficiency in imagery and analytics tasking, processing, and delivery systems management, as well as familiarity delivering and supporting software in customer environments.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Technical Program Manager, this position is strongly preferred to be near our Herndon, VA office going in as needed.

Responsibilities: 

• Implement and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines and milestones and provide reports on project status and performance.
• Capture detailed meeting notes, action items, and decisions, and distribute them to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate regular updates across the business leadership communicating program execution and highlighting any risk or critical milestone objectives.
• Provide administrative support for project activities: including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and managing project documentation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to track progress, identify potential risks, and mitigate project delays.
• Act as the central point of contact for project-related communication, facilitating information exchange between team members and stakeholders.
• Organize and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all project stakeholders.
• Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with business leadership to provide regular updates on project status, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.
• Other related tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in technical engineering field, business management or related field of study or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience in project coordination or administrative roles, with at least two years of relevant industry experience in the GEOINT/GIS industry.
• Proven track record of managing project deadlines and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience with flowcharts, technical documentation, and schedules.
• Proficiency in notetaking and documentation, with the ability to summarize complex information accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Concepts of Operations and documenting functional and performance requirements.
• Strong customer teaming and interfacing skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Organize and work collaboratively using Microsoft Office applications and other management tools.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and translate ambiguity into clearly defined forward paths to achieve the desired and mutually agreed outcomes/results.
• Previous experience with DoD, IC, or international programs, customers, and processes.
• This role requires US-born citizenship. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Understanding of interfaces, system specifications and capability requirements; understanding of the geospatial intelligence mission; and systems engineering experience defining and documenting system capabilities.
• Experience integrating tradition/non-traditional/emerging multi-INT sources into mission capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of the architecture and design of multi-INT systems.
• Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
• Previous experience supporting projects within the defense or intelligence community.
