Who are we hiring?
MSG Sphere is looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to join a groundbreaking post-production department based in Los Angeles. This role is a Senior Technical Project Manager working under the Senior Director of Studio Technical Projects to wrangle multiple technology focused projects and helping guide Sphere Studios in adopting new tools and workflows across the studio. MSG Sphere post-production requires managers who are used to problem solving in collaboration with their end users and stakeholders, and flexible in modifying the solutions they build based on feedback. Â
Sphere Venues require an extreme level of integration between disciplines, as such the LA Post-Production team desires out-of-the-box thinkers, creative problem solvers, and excellent collaborators with cross-disciplinary experience.Â
What will you do?Â
- Lead in the planning of software tools to automate tasks for I/O, Edit, VFX, Color, Sound, QC, review, Mastering, and delivery.Â
- Lead cross department spike investigations to determine viability of potential new features / expanded utility for current tools.Â
- Conduct interviews and working groups to generate user stories and define departmental requirements for new features.Â
- Craft process adjustments for departments when there are current tools/features that meet their needs but a not being fully leveraged.Â
- Curate and manage all externally facing documentation for interdepartmental ease of use.Â
- Collaborate with artists and engineers to discover opportunities to streamline workflows via the pipelineÂ
- Assist in defining feature goals / roadmap and metrics for success.Â
What do you need to succeed?Â
- Minimum of 8 years in a Technical Project Manager role with strong emphasis on Production workflowsÂ
- Strong experience in all major OS: Linux, MacOS, WindowsÂ
- Demonstrated experience with Digital Asset Management Solutions.Â
- Detail oriented with excellent communication and documentation skills.Â
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take criticism, and work under high pressure with tight deadlines.Â
- Good problem solving, troubleshooting and debugging skillsÂ
- Ability to collaborate with team members across different disciplines including directly interfacing with stakeholders to understand requirements
- The Technical Project Manager will report to the Director, Core Pipeline Software but will require a level of self-directed and solutions-oriented initiative with good sound decision making skills.
- Ability to coach and collaborate with other Core Pipeline teammates
- This role requires a self-directed “production-minded” work ethic helping to maintain the high level of quality associated with the MSG Sphere.

Pay Range
$164,000—$215,000 USD
