Position Overview

Manages software engineering projects from initiation through delivery, including planning and status reporting, risk monitoring, and issue resolution/escalation to ensure completion of assigned projects is on schedule and within budget, and ensures milestones and objectives are met.

Responsibilities
  • Manage specific software engineering projects that have a distinct beginning and end. Articulate purpose and vision into clear goals for the team
  • Assist team members in planning, estimating, and controlling tasks, and establish healthy, collaborative relationships
  • Ensure clear and consistent information is distributed to teams and stakeholders
  • Prepare and distribute various reports and updates on the status of the project for various audiences, including functional management
  • Work with all the stakeholders to communicate strategy and requirements and serve as a communication focal point on projects
  • Interface with various engineering roles to effectively resolve issues and remove barriers to project success. Implement under guidance of procedures and processes to optimize project effectiveness
  • Monitor projects from initiation through delivery
  • Works closely with Scrum Teams and functional team leadership to drive the development of features impacting multiple products and services
  • Follows relevant policies and practices to determine appropriate action


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience working directly with software engineering teams on initiatives involving multiple teams, in a fast-paced environment
  • Aware of Cloud Services and Cloud Platform (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad audience
  • Zeal for process and operational excellence
  • Desire to continue to learn and challenge yourself


Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Project Manager
  • Proactive in stakeholder management and establishing relationship with stakeholders
  • Demonstrable knowledge in APIs and interfaces, software componentization and customization
