The Ideal Candidate
You are a senior project professional with experience in the successful delivery of both internal projects and customer-facing software delivery projects. We are looking for someone with a good understanding of how software products are delivered, integrated, and configured at customer sites. Our ideal candidate will contribute towards the overall success of the project by understanding and agreeing scope up front, preparing delivery project plans, reporting status, tracking risks and decisions as well as managing internal team workflow and client relationships. Since Entersekt’s products focus on protecting the payment industry through authentication, security, and risk-based services, the ideal candidate will need to have experience working within banking, payments, or digital security and fraud, and have an understanding of the sector’s regulatory requirements, such as PSD2, GDPR, and MiFID II.
The Role
The function of the senior technical project manager is to plan and manage projects involving Entersekt products while providing structure, direction, and reporting oversight to stakeholders. Products include those undergoing their first implementation (carrying certain associated overheads and risks), as well as mature, market-leading products which are provided either as an on-prem solution or cloud hosted SaaS solution.
The senior technical project manager plays a key role within the delivery team, which is primarily customer focused. Key to the team’s success is ensuring that lessons learned and proven approaches are factored into the delivery method and shared across various teams.
Skills and Experience
Successful candidates for this role will generally possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or computer science (preferred).
- Project management qualification such as PMI.
- 8 years+ experience in software project delivery.
- 6 years+ delivery experience delivering to external customers.
- Practical experience with project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
- Working knowledge of project tools such as SmartSheets, MS Project, Confluence, Jira.
- Experience in online/e-commerce, payment processing, and/or financial systems (preferable).
- Understanding of cloud-based solutions delivery (desirable).
- Exposure to Agile software development approaches.
- Experience in online/e-commerce, payment processing, and/or financial systems.
- Understanding of cloud-based solutions delivery (AWS preferred).
- Cryptography and PKI experience (advantageous).
- Prior technical exposure, such as development, networks or infrastructure, would be an advantage.
