Senior Technical Project Manager

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager. This is a full-time benefitted position based in the McLean, VA. A hybrid work model may be available.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage software development and modernization projects using Agile methodologies
• Serve as primary interface to client stakeholders and manages multiple internal business and technical resources.
• Be the single point-of-contact to the client for the project
• Implement a communication strategy to measure progress and broadcast project status to all appropriate personnel.
• Develop and maintain project plans utilizing Microsoft Project.
• Along with the Business Analyst and Sr. Architect, leads meetings with project sponsors, collects and documents requirements into formalized requirements document.
• Assist in the creation and review of project related design, implementation, testing, and users guide documentation.
• Ensure the generation of high-quality work products on-time delivery, and under budget.
• Remain up to date on all current best practices, trends, and industry developments

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or IT, or related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a customer facing Project Manager
• Experience managing development projects that utilize business process workflows
• PMP certification, or related certification
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience with client engagement
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, and MS Office Products.
• Ability to lead through influence; negotiate and gain consensus between clients and team
• Able to manage urgent deliverables and issues
• Resourceful, true self-starter, can do attitude, leader

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience supporting cloud technologies
• Knowledge of associated Agile tools such as JIRA is strongly preferred
