We are seeking a Senior Technical Trainer to join our team.
Job Summary
The Senior Technical Trainer works within the Customer Education department of Professional Services. This role is responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining training content, and conducts research and analysis related to knowledge transfer requirements and tools that support Imprivata's customer and partner education programs.
The Senior Technical Trainer delivers the company's more complex training programs onsite, remote and online formats using multiple delivery methods. This position works directly with the Manager, Customer Education to develop educational learning solutions and techniques to improve audience knowledge of Imprivata's products and overall customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Delivery

• Conduct customer and partner training using a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods, including classroom-based learning and virtual learning.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to instructors when they are assigned courseware development and delivery tasks.
• Assist with maintaining classroom infrastructure for Customer Educational.

Certification Program

• Assist and maintain Imprivata's technical education courses that support the certification program.
• Collaborate, write and review certification exam questions, requirements and lab results to measure participant's comprehension of the training.
• Provide feedback, analysis, recommendations on certification exam.

Instructional Design and Development

• Work with subject matter experts to collect course requirements, and content for new releases.
• Participate in cross-functional discussions to collaborate in the evaluation of product lifecycle, product development and documentation requirements and how to incorporate into education content.
• Interact with the product development team to clarify the usage and intent of new features.
• Gather the knowledge transfer of best practices for using Imprivata products.
• Develop new content using well-known instructional design techniques.
• Assist with the repurposing of existing content into other modalities.
• Assist with the creation of courseware assets (slides, examples, exercise instructions, sample code, solution files, setup files, etc.)
• Provide continuous improvement recommendations and make adjustments to content and modality as needed.
• Mentor team members and train-the-trainer as needed.

Operationally

• Support the complete education and training lifecycle development by participating in training assessments, courseware design, development and testing.
• Develop, administer and deploy multimedia applications, and web based applications used in Customer Educational course structure.
• Provide database support for Customer Educational training courses.
• Assist with the educational support and deployment team. This includes the support of training rooms, VMware images and training software.
• Maintain education records (i.e. rosters, examinations, etc.,)
• Work with management to ensure that projects meet overall goals of the Customer Education, Professional Services Department, and the overall corporate direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years training work experience with delivering technical training, product implementation experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience with client-server model software implementations that impact end users
• Working knowledge of Virtualization Technologies (Citrix, VMWare , Hyper-V) desirable
• UI level Scripting experience with one of the following: VBScript, JavaScript, AutoIT preferred but not required
• Proven presentation skills and experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent analysis, synthesis, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail, yet creative thinker, highly motivated and self-managing.
• Must be able to coordinate and organize tasks and activities to ensure that project schedules and project goals are met.
• Must be a team player and be able to work collaboratively with others in a fast pace environment
• Demonstrated experience in working in a cross functional team environment, negotiating and winning support from key stakeholders of other business groups.
• This role will travel up to 25%.

This position offers a salary range of $124,000 to $136,000 (inclusive of variable compensation such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here . This salary range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
