Senior Technical Writer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Technical Writing and Product Documentation
• Gather information through product requirements & technical specification documents, interviews, product demos and product exploration
• Work closely with product management and engineering to understand the concepts well and create well-thought-through documents
• Understand the various user journeys and present the content in a manner that can be easily consumed
• Use aids like diagrams, flowcharts and videos in the articles as and when required to explain the concepts better detailing the nuances
• Peer-review, editing and proofreading
• Continuously work towards improving the quality of content 
• Work with internal teams, identify the documentation bugs and gaps and work on the feedback

Required Skills and Experience

• 6-8 years of experience in technical writing
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Proven work experience in developing procedural software documentation
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and convert them into a consumable form using examples, images and videos
• Ability to probe, ask questions and research
• Quick learner
• Excellent team player

Good to Have

• Exposure in writing API & technical specification documentation
• Content (documents, presentations, videos etc.) preparation for training material for users
• Market and competitor research and analysis
