Job Description

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 11 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.

CW-Lead Business Systems Analyst

The Lead Business System Analyst oversees the analysis of business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions. Working with limited oversight, this job reviews that designed system solutions are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job is responsible for managing large projects and processes, while also coordinating efforts among the Business Systems team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provides solutions for IT and business management concerning the application of technology to business opportunities, planning and implementation of cross-functional applications.
  • Monitors feedback on the use of business applications, enhancing system productivity as needed.
  • Translates business requirements into application requirements, while working with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.
  • Reviews cost estimates of various system solutions and reviews project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
  • Engages client teams and explains complex security initiatives in an understandable manner, while also addressing any hesitations or concerns from the client.
  • Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems, as necessary.
  • Coaches and sometimes delegates work to lower level professionals.

Additional Job Description:

In this role you will lead both the updating of existing as well as development of new Standard Operating Procedures which support Client Service teams and programs. Using your experience with industry best practices and standards for process mapping, you will also play a key role for documenting work, data, and process flows across business units and systems. The Lead Technical Writer is also responsible for building and maturing an intake, review, approval, and implementation process for SOP creation and updates.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Updated documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for processes executed in programs supported
  • Conduct analysis of an end-to-end process and create detailed process flows of existing processes
  • Define and document new procedures as developed to support programs assigned
  • Define and document business capabilities and requirements for programs assigned
  • Build trusted relationships across the organization to identify subject matter experts, business area needs, objectives, and additional opportunities to support documentation requirements across Client Services
  • Act as a consultant to provide subject matter expertise on Process Flow and SOP documentation according to emerging industry best practices and standards

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience in documentation of Standard Operating Procedures for process uniformity and to meet compliance/regulatory standards
  • Extensive experience mapping process flows using industry standard methodologies
  • Experience writing detailed and impactful Agile project artifacts which ensure successful implementation (i.e. Stories, Features, Capabilities)
  • Experience developing robust intake and tracking processes for documentation requests
  • Experience with JIRA

Base Pay Range: $63.46/hr. - $73.57/hr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
