Role Mission

As Lightci’s first Sr. Technical Writer, you’ll collaborate with our engineering and consulting teams to produce comprehensive, digestible technical documentation. Your work will span multiple projects, requiring a deep understanding of various technologies and methodologies.


Deliverables
  • Gather technical information and requirements from engineers, developers, and project managers
  • Write, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including API guides, system architecture, user manuals, and whitepapers
  • Simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Create and update diagrams, flowcharts, and visual aids
  • Review and edit documentation for accuracy and clarity
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date with the latest product releases
  • Work across multiple projects, managing time effectively
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Support the creation of training materials and technical support content


    • About you
  • 3-5 years of technical writing experience in a tech-focused environment
  • Strong full-stack engineering background
  • Experience with data-heavy documents and API documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with documentation tools (eg. OpenAPI, Markdown, LaTeX, Confluence, and Git
  • Ability to create clear diagrams using tools like Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and DevOps practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Technical Writing, or a related field
