Senior Technical Writer

We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer to lead and collaborate with the engineering, product, and customer support teams to produce internal and end-user-based documentation for Bynder products and services.

As a Senior Technical Writer, you are responsible for and play a leading role in structuring and prioritizing the technical writer backlog, coordinating the entire documentation process, enhancing procedures, and mentoring less experienced colleagues. You are also responsible for creating clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation.

You will work closely with the teams and other stakeholders to gather information, understand requirements, and translate complex technical concepts into easy and accessible, understandable content.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, write, and maintain detailed technical documentation
• Maintain active communication and collaborate with the teams to gather essential information and analyze technical information
• Establish and maintain documentation standards, style guides, and templates
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the writers
• Identify and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies in the documentation process
• Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with the teams
• Continuously update and improve documentation by integrating generative AI for enhanced quality, faster execution, and increased productivity
• Measure success through user engagement metrics, feedback, and satisfaction scores, error and support ticket reduction, and productivity metrics

Qualifications

• Exceptional technical writing skills with 4-6 years of experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing or a related field 
• Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate them into user-friendly documentation.
• Hands-on experience with API documentation tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Prior experience in a SaaS-based company is preferred.
