Senior Technical Writer

Technical writers are a key link between product, engineering, support, implementation, marketing, and customers. As the Senior Technical Writer, you will be a thought leader, responsible for making strategic recommendations on how to structure, deliver, and maintain documentation related to Lightcast’s products. You clearly and accurately communicate how Lightcast products work and the problems they solve. You work on multiple products simultaneously.

Major Responsibilities:

• Drive product enablement, increase NPS, and lower time to value by pairing products with well organized and context-relevant documentation.
• Own the development and delivery of Lightcast’s product and API documentation; drive the overall structure, content, and delivery of Lightcast documentation ensuring accuracy, clarity, and up-to-date information.
• Work closely with engineering teams and leadership to improve the documentation system, incorporating automation to streamline and enhance the documentation and release processes.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of your documentation to track its success; make improvements as necessary.
• Train and mentor junior writers and other team members on effective writing practices.

• Excellent English-language communication skills

Education and Experience:

• 3 years experience as a technical writer
• Proficiency in content management systems, documentation tools, and version control systems
