Job Description

Next Phase is searching for experienced candidates for the Sr. Technology Project Coordinator position to contribute to the program management support of a large data program.

The Sr. Technology Project Coordinator works closely with the Program Management and Technical SMEs to help support a large federal data program. The Sr. Technology Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing the timely delivery of high-quality responses and well-written deliverables to the government in a fast-paced environment.

Additionally, the Sr. Technology Project Coordinator is a passionate and organized team lead who helps support the program in onboarding, training activities, and information sharing. The ideal candidate can handle multiple balls in the air without compromising details, foster a positive and responsive team environment, and quickly adjust to dynamic tasks and schedule changes.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work in coordination with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, coordinate changes to technical requirements, business requirements, and project schedule
  • Coordinate and supervise specific non-technical tasks or functions such as onboarding and offboarding project resources
  • Ensures all activities are carried out per project commitments or specific objectives
  • Manage and own project implementation tasks (action-based)
  • Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings
  • Coordinate with PMs to ensure that all team members keep workflow on track, ensuring that client's needs are met as the project evolves
  • Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed, and stored
  • Coordinate, support, and participate in program and system meetings and reviews by taking thorough meeting notes when required
  • Ensure proper training requirements of project staff and prepare training log
  • Help to ensure completion of administrative reporting, e.g., timecards, daily statistics, logs, and task narratives
  • Work with PMs to respond to client requests and questions
  • Work with the Quality team on risk management and help derive metrics
  • Assist with writing manuals, memos, meeting minutes, and other documents
  • Prepare All-Hands slides for project team meetings
  • Strong working knowledge of MS-Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be a team member with solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management, strong client-facing, and teamwork skills
  • The position requires the ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans


Requirements

Required Experience and Education:

  • Nine (9) years of combined experience as a Technology Project Coordinator, Auditor, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, and Scrum Master in an administrative business setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information System, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience is preferred
  • General understanding of infrastructure hardware and software systems including network, compute, storage and security for traditional data center hosted applications virtual and private cloud solutions
  • Understanding of government contracting processes and standards preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Preferred - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly preferred, as is experienced in the use of MS Project

THIS POSITION REQUIRES RESIDENCY IN MARYLAND OR NORTHERN VIRGINIA and is PARTIAL REMOTE 2 DAYS A WEEK. THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A FULL REMOTE SCHEDULE.
