In this role, you will work to develop and maintain automated tests and test frameworks that ensure high-quality software without the need for manual testing. The Test Automation Engineer will work within an agile software development team to ensure the software is designed and implemented for testability and has sufficient code and use-case coverage within the test framework. The Quality & Automation team develops test plans and monitors test coverage across the product. They write automated unit, component, and system tests to detect regressions early in the development lifecycle. They work with DevOps teams to ensure test suites are run as part of the product’s continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will have the opportunity to refine requirements, develop the testing solution, and have ongoing technical leadership. CUSTOMER
Our client is a rapidly growing US AdTech company, founded by three former employees of a major tech corporation. It boasts a highly technical team and a strong technological culture. The company provides high-scale Bidder-as-a-Service solutions in advertising technology, collaborating with global businesses and securing $28M in funding, including a recent Series B raise of $15M. We work closely with them to facilitate the delivery of key components of their platform and are seeking engineers to join their team and drive further platform development. 
PROJECT
The project focuses on building the next generation of real-time bidding software, empowering sophisticated marketers to overcome the limitations and constraints of opaque, one-size-fits-all programmatic buying platforms. 

Job Description

• Write and execute tests to validate products and software applications.
• Develop and maintain test execution and tracking software.
• Collaborate with Product team to identify product and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality & Automation team and Software Engineers to identify, reproduce, and document bugs or defects.
• Assist in integrating testing into CI/CD pipeline.
• Contribute towards architecture designs providing feedback on testability (for Senior).
• Provide guidance and mentorship for less-experienced Test Automation Engineers (for Senior).
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in Test Automation for Senior (3+ years for Middle).
• Strong automation coding skills in TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress (2+ years at least).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and frameworks (Jenkins, Github Actions, Airflow, Concourse CI preferred).
• A full understanding and appreciation of the test pyramid.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an Agile team.
• The ability to teach others how to write quality code (for Senior).
