Senior Test Engineer (Buenos Aires)

Rise Interactive (http://www.riseinteractive.com), a rapidly growing full-service interactive advertising agency, is looking to hire a Senior Test Engineer for our Innovation team in our Buenos Aires office! We are looking for a self-directed, detail-oriented individual who thrives in an entrepreneurial culture as we grow our quickly expanding client base.  This is a hybrid role based out of our Buenos Aires office

As a Senior Test Engineer you will be an integral part of the development team and help ensure that the products we deliver are of utmost quality. You will be intimately familiar with the business value of Rise’s offerings and verify that the intended business value is delivered with each user story. You will be involved with the development process from the inception of the user story so that you can create the appropriate test plan with an approach that has the right amount of exploratory, regression, and automated testing in place.

• Ability to create new and follow existing test cases
• Defect tracking and verification using JIRA
• Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
• Write clear and concise test scenarios and test scripts
• Write clear and concise defects and validate defect fixes across multiple environments
• Responsible for specifying, gathering and managing the required test data
• Work with developers (software/system) to understand the implementation and to resolve, work through, explain any anomalies
• Support software releases, assist in defect identification and take corrective action, escalating as needed to development or team leader
• Create automated tests using python and Selenium to streamline repetitive manual testing efforts
• Have a high standard of quality
• Ability to mentor and train  junior test engineers

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent field preferred
Strong written and verbal English communication skills required
2-6 years of on-the-job experience
Ability to write test cases
Familiarity with SQL language
Familiarity with JIRA or a similar issue tracking software
Ability to perform web browser testing
Experience with Back-end / database testing (i.e. SQL, API) preferred
Familiarity with testing automation (i.e. python, java, Bash, Shell, Powershell, Selenium, QTP or other object-oriented language) or willingness to learn it
