Senior, Test Systems Engineer

Magic Leap is seeking a Test Engineer to join the hardware development team working on next generation product development.  In this role you will be working with new technologies in RF, ASICs/ FPGAs, electro/optical systems, Thermal, battery life, and robotics while interacting with multiple disciplines and departments (electrical, software, mechanical, human factors, and manufacturing).  Preferably if individual has work experience in a production/ lab test environment.  Join our team developing next-generation technology for mixed-reality devices in an Agile Hardware Environment.

• Develop test plans in compliance with existing and new technologies standards
• Rapid prototyping including firmware bring up
• Gather technical requirements to base and support automated test system solutions while obtaining buy-in from the team.
• Define Test System plans, design architecture, implementation, and validation.
• Troubleshooting board issues and implementing tests at the system and component level
• Support test system solutions for Power management, RF/ Baseband, and other technologies.
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve cross functional issues.
• Active documentation of current technical plans and designs.
• Maintain version control of code revisions.

• 7+ years of work experience in related field.
• Labview Proficiency (machine vision, data acquisition, test equipment automation)
• Python Proficiency with version control (Github)
• TestStand/ Visual Studio/ PyCharm framework
• Production Test environment experience
• Cadence or other schematics/layout tool
• Robotic automation
• Display/ Camera testing/ optical sensors
• RF Testing: UMTS/LTE/GPS/WiFi/BT
• Test Fixture/Jig
• Data Collection and Statistical Analysis
