About the Role:

Responsible for the expansion of new and existing trade finance relationships and management of those relationships.

  • Identifies new business opportunities for trade finance activities.
  • Presents prospective clients with array of products:loans, with an emphasis on financing imports and/or exports on a short- or medium-term basis; banker's acceptances marketing to middle market companies; standby and commercial letters of credit, documentary collections, and international payments.
  • Assists relationship managers and advises them in structuring credit facilities.Reviews proposal to ensure appropriate structure and line limits apply.Conducts joint calls with relationship managers.
  • Identifies client's trade finance and foreign exchange needs and determines appropriate credit line structure and limits by analyzing financial data.
  • Participates in export documentary seminars, using such participation as a marketing tool.
  • Assists Department Manager on a variety of projects.
  • Responsible for a variety of client relationship management and business development activities including all aspects of the client relationship development and directing or coordinating the execution of various types of transactions.
  • Specific responsibility includes originating, structuring and closing complex commercial and corporate banking transactions, putting together advanced trade-related banking solutions, implementing domestic and international treasury management services, underwriting foreign exchange and/or other credit related products, and delivering in-country solutions to our client base.

About You:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent, and proven track record in developing business in the commercial industry preferred.
  • More than 10 years of relevant experience in structuring, documenting and closing sales on complex trade finance credit and cash management solutions required.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
  • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.
  • Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.

Our Benefits:

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $73,710.00 to $149.466.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
