Senior TradeOps Engineer

The Trade Operations (TradeOps) team is responsible for managing HRT’s live trading environment. The team creates and maintains one of the most robust and efficient trading platforms in the world. This includes configuring, monitoring, and optimizing the firm’s trading as well as handling risk, regulatory, and development tasks. The Trade Operations team focuses on automating manual tasks and preparing for the unexpected.

The Senior Trade Operations Engineer will be tasked with understanding our market and broker relationships, technology requirements, and regulatory commitments. This person will need to have exceptional communication and organizational skills paired with a hands-on approach and strong technology background. Project areas include: market access, monitoring and compliance, algo/strategy evaluation and management, performance tuning, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Experience with at least one higher level language, such as C++ or Python
• Knowledge of UNIX operating systems (we use Linux), system/processor performance, and network communication
• Experience in trading, finance, or a related field is preferred
• Understanding of market data/order entry systems is preferred
• Flexibility around early start times to monitor live trading as needed
