Senior Trading Operations Analyst

This role will assist with the administration and execution of financial transactions between Voleon and its counterparties, responsible for performing regular reconciliations, preparing internal reports, and managing some routine accounting tasks. You will be part of the Fund Operations team and will work closely with the Fund Accounting team. You will report to the Fund Finance Manager while collaborating with talented colleagues across fund accounting, research, and trading. This role is a means to make a difference: you will be a member of our daily middle office operations and have the potential to work on high-impact fund launches. 

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy and provide key reporting for trading activity, positions held, corporate actions, and profit and loss related to our investment funds across multiple asset classes and geographies
• Work with the Fund Accounting Team to ensure all activity is properly recorded and documented, including collaboration on the monthly NAV process
• Provide day-to-day operations support and assist with portfolio management for the Trading Desk
• Support fund-related projects including restructurings, broker onboardings and account setups
• Improve the quality and efficiency of workflows, including through working with BO engineers to automate processes
• Support team cross-training initiatives, workflow reviews and coverage plans
• Connect periodically with service providers to identify efficiencies and review updates to policies and internal control standards
• Develop and improve new and existing policies and procedures

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of finance experience, ideally in a middle office operation role or a fund accounting role at a hedge fund, prime broker, or fund administrator
• Ability to work from 7am PST
• Advanced abilities in Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with or the ability to learn enterprise-level accounting software and develop efficient processes
• Experience working with engineers to automate manual processes (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred), Economics, Business, or Finance
• Authorization to work in the United States

The base salary for this position is $110,000 to $120,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Base salary does not include other forms of total compensation such as bonus compensation and other benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
