Job Description

ADP is hiring a Senior Trust Analyst. In this position, you will develop interpret and implement financial and accounting concepts or techniques for financial reporting and control. Conducts special studies to analyze financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, and/or action. Supports the Accounting Director with the monthly book close process and variance reporting in a timely and accurate manner. Adheres to strict reporting deadlines for pre-close and close. Performs a balance sheet review, which includes resolving outstanding issues, reviewing accruals, prepaid accounts payable, and deferred income or expense.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements.
  • Classifies examines and analyzes accounting records and prepares related financial reports and statements.
  • Prepares standard and specialized financial reports (e.g. balance sheets, income statements, monthly closing reports) according to Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements.
  • Complies and analyzes financial information to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documents business transactions.
  • Establishes maintains and coordinates the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  • Competent to work on complex accounting activities which include preparing and reviewing internal analyses and researching and resolving day-to-day problems related to general ledger items.
  • Analyzes various P&L accounts and provides results to managers.
  • Handles various accounting projects as needed
  • Errors may cause substantial delay, and expense and affects the accuracy, accuracy, and timeliness of reports.
  • Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced Accountants.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • 5-8 years of general accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required or equivalent in education and experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
  • Proven proficiency in performing complex accounting activities.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel required.
  • Limited supervision.
  • Uses discretion and judgment in applying accounting rules and policies.
