Senior UI Designer (Contract)

**Please note this is a contract role with an expected duration of 6 months

As a Senior UI Designer, you will help to drive the design and implementation of intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user experiences across our gaming titles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including game designers, artists, and engineers, to ensure that our games offer exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and communicate UI design strategies that align with the overall vision and goals of the project.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to effectively communicate design ideas and interactions.
• Use rapid prototyping while working directly in-engine to build widgets, layouts, and other interface elements at a playable level.
• Iterate and polish existing interfaces to a shippable quality bar.
• Collaborate with game designers, artists, and engineers to ensure cohesive and consistent user experiences.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI design.
• Document UI processes, guidelines, and standards to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in UI Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in UI design, with a significant portion in the gaming industry.
• Strong proficiency in UI design tools such as Photoshop, Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Proven experience leading UI design projects from concept to implementation.
• Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UI design projects and methodologies.
• Ability to create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform design decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with Unreal Engine.

Preferred Qualifications: • Knowledge of front-end development languages and scripting, either visual or traditional.
• Experience with motion design and creating interactive prototypes.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices in UI design.
• Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of game design principles. 

Compensation Range:

• United States: $60.00/hour -$75.00/hour
