Senior UI/UX Designer
Job Description
What You'll Do: As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for collecting and translating user insights into delightful experiences. You will create both functional and visually appealing features that address our customers' needs. You will use your creativity and eye for design - along with your technical knowledge - to develop great experiences. You'll work with product managers, and our development team. Together you'll deliver UI mockups, prototypes, MVPs, and final products. In this role, you'll have the privilege of being the voice of the customer. You'll translate their needs into user-friendly designs and have a direct impact on the customer's user-experience. As the Senior UI/UX Designer, you will also contribute to a variety of areas including:
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience
- Interpret customer and user research findings and design and develop effective and elegant user experiences
- Advocate and represent the customer in business strategy, including influencing technology decisions needed to provide a positive user experience
- Create and articulate a compelling vision for customers across multiple product lines to support our strategic segments
- Create, evaluate, and modify complex prototypes to support evolving software application development
- Create UI artifacts (Hi-fidelity Figma files, prototypes, and user interaction specifications) for handoff to development
- Evaluate existing applications and evaluate their design and UX effectiveness
- Lead the creative resolution of problems or issues to achieve an improved future result
- Create and maintain an Information Architecture across multiple product lines
- Institute an accessibility-by-design approach across product and development
- Establish and promote design and usability guidelines, best practices, and standards, by implementing user centered design processes
About You:
You're a good fit for the role of Senior UI/UX Designer if you have:
- 5+ years of application/product design experience
- A robust portfolio of previous product design work that illustrates hands-on work. Portfolio showcases a proven track record of solving complex design problems with design led thinking that exhibits a clean, polished design aesthetic coupled with a passion for intuitive, and functional user interfaces
- Experience in standard UIX software to create wireframes/mockups such as Figma, Adobe XD, Balsamiq, Sketch, InVision, UXPin etc.
- Be a strategic thinker and storyteller who influences decisions and effectively persuades
- Ability to weave stories based on the data - distilling simplicity from complex user requirements and the ability to present the story via data visualizations
- Confidently present and recommend trade-offs; communicate changes in delivery expectations
- Demonstrate a customer obsessed approach, a passion for taking action and drive to continually create impact
- Ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states (CA, CO, CT, NV, WA) and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $88,200 - $163,800. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
