The User Experience and Design team is responsible for designing innovative, best-in-class solutions across mobile, web and desktop platforms. We are a multi-disciplinary group of product designers, content strategists and researchers that collaborate with business and technology partners across the enterprise to build exceptional digital experiences for millions of passionate clients. We are seeking a Senior UI/UX product Designer who will take the time to understand the business aspects of the digital products and solutions we create while balancing the discovery and delivery process to create the right solution for clients. You will relentlessly advocate for the client, inspiring others to push the boundaries when creating user experiences that show our dedication for our customer's financial needs. You will conceptualize these experiences through collaboration with UX, Engineering, and Product Management teams to create innovative experiences across all of Schwab's products, leveraging your passion for brand, craft, and design quality.

• Collaborate with UX, Product and Engineering partners to fully understand the customer journey, potential gaps, and opportunities.
• Create accessible and mobile-optimized experiences that adapt to all supported devices and viewports.
• Explore new opportunities to meet user expectations and driving business outcomes.
• Continually explore the competitive landscape and trends within the financial services.
• Maintain a working knowledge of emerging user interface, interaction design standards and best practices.
• Partner with technology to ensure technical feasibility and flawless implementation of design.
• Govern the experience throughout the development lifecycle to ensure integrity of the experience and usability guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience creating digital products and solutions across web and mobile channels.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong ability to balance innovative design-thinking and discovery practices with pragmatic, rapid and iterative delivery.
• Proficiency in presenting creative work, highlighting the customer journey, and defending the design rationale, both internally and externally.
• Effective interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across the enterprise.
• Strong initiative and work ethic to meet critical project deadlines.
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced, deadline driven and collaborative creative environment.
• Expert knowledge of design tools such as Figma, Invision, Sketch and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Flexibility to iterate and negotiate feedback with partners in real time to deliver exceptional client experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
• 3+ years of experience designing for iOS and Android platforms.
• Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industry experience.
• Experience with agile methodologies and digital technologies.
• Experience working within and helping to evolve enterprise design systems.
