Senior Underwriter

Revenued is a revolutionary fintech company founded by a team of leading pioneers in the alternative small business financing industry. We provide capital to small to medium-sized businesses through bespoke funding arrangements such as business cards and flexline. The company is in the midst of hyper-growth with international offices in the US, Albania, Philippines, and India.

We are seeking a Sr. Underwriter to join our Underwriting team. In this role, you will review, research, analyze, and price large deals of $1M or greater in gross annual revenue. 

This position is fully remote, however, will be required to work EST zone hours. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible to review and price larger deals ($1M+ gross annual revenue) considering affordability, credit, and numerous risk factors;
• Add required stipulations as appropriate;
• Communicate with sales reps regarding adjustments to pricing and required steps;
• Discuss and update on the competitive landscape both in terms of pricing and commissions;
• Attend all credit committee meetings and provide insight and opinion regarding the viability of a deal;
• Train and support Underwriters.
• Review pricing and evaluation strategies including deal grading and industry-specific details;
• Participate in Credit Committee meetings;
• Review the work of trainees and provide insight and feedback;
• Perform final review for funding, including review of all documents, research, and bank activity, as directed;
• Participate in monthly portfolio review; 
• Participate in quarterly performance reviews including review of defaults;
• May be required to perform other tasks and duties reasonably related to job responsibilities.

Experience/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred;
• 3-5 years of consumer and or commercial underwriting required;
• Experience with financial analysis required;
• Experience reviewing and analyzing individual and company credit reports;
• Strong analytical skills; 
• Skilled at multi-tasking; able to coordinate, organize, prioritize, and execute responsibilities in the face of conflicting priorities and unexpected situations;
• Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM is desirable; ability to manage multiple software applications; 
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills;
• Effective verbal and written communication skills is a must;
• Strong work ethic; 
• High level of discretion.
