What Inspires you: 

• Coaching a team of underwriters to ensure effective decision-making regarding application  processing, verification of proper documentation, adherence to underwriting criteria and making quality processing decisions.
• Coordinating successful collaboration with internal supporting functions such as sales operations, product, and engineering to ensure alignment on overall strategy and goals.
• Championing the development and  standardization of new best practice processes, procedures, and templates related to Denim's factoring product.

What you’ll do: 

• Coach the Underwriting team(s) towards execution of business objectives for new business, in accordance with pertinent policy and guidelines.
• Ensure all underwritings adhere to internal procedures.
• Continuous review of Underwriting standards with heads of Sales and Operations to ensure that Underwriting is both preventing Operations for incurring losses while enabling Sales to hit growth and revenue targets.

What we're looking for: 

• Proven underwriting skills in the factoring and logistics space with the ability to think strategically, get results, manage change, and build teams.
• An excitement for  business due diligence including a review of financial statements, collateral reporting, tax returns, industry and company research, field examination reports and appraisals.
• Effectiveness in fostering collaboration. Removing barriers, building a shared vision, and facilitating effective interactions among other departments or groups.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate tasks to appropriate resources and maintain high-quality work product standards.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience underwriting in the logistics and supply chain finance industries.
• Able to coach and motivate a team of underwriters who are at varying levels of development.
• Proven ability to understand legal documentation and UCC filings.
• Some experience with LOC and ABL deals is a plus.

Compensation Range: 

$73,000-$93,000

Denim believes in providing pay transparency to all candidates. For annual compensation, our pay ranges for all roles are based on geographic location, job responsibilities and experience, benchmarked against similar stage companies in our industry. We share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Every final offer presented is determined by several components including location as well as candidate experience and skills, and could alter from the amounts listed above.
