Senior User Experience Designer (UX/UI) - Design System

We're looking for an Senior User Experience Designer (UX/UI) candidate with experience in Visual design, UI design and prototyping tools to join our team in Redwood City, CA/Hybrid.

You will report to the Director of Product Visual Design.

You will use your interaction design, visual design, technical, collaboration, and leadership skills to ensure the success of our design system. Reporting to the Director of Product Visual Design, you will work with the extended Visual Design and Design System Teams to lead the evolution of our design standards and ensure consistency across all products.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

• Create and deliver designs for UI components and patterns that meet user needs and team goals for our cloud data management products.
• Work with the user experience designers, visual designers, and UI developers to explore, plan, validate, and build scalable solutions.
• Write usage guidelines for UI components and patterns, ensure their usage, and provide support in the ongoing maintenance process of the design system.
• Work with developers to ensure that designs are practical and to provide guidance during implementation.
• Facilitate design reviews and provide constructive feedback to fellow designers.
• Support the Dev and QA teams and review implementation work in progress
• Engage as a member of a dynamic, diverse, and global design community.

What We'd Like to See

• An online portfolio that showcases your design experience in interaction design, UI design, visual design, and design communication.
• Experience creating end-to-end designs -- from interaction design through creating or driving the visual design and UI specification documentation.
• Prior experience contributing to a design system by defining guidelines for visual styles, components, and patterns.
• Experience designing for UIs that aligns with SaaS and cloud native principles.

Role Essentials

• 5+ years of experience designing user interfaces and user experiences for web-based enterprise products, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in design
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related design or artistic discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• An online portfolio demonstrating a focus on the design process, visual design, UI design, interaction design, and design specification documentation is required.
• Proficiency with contemporary design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and InVision
• Initiative and put through on design enhancements, tasks for you and the local team, QA reviews, and anticipating future design needs for the design system
• Knowledge of responsive, accessible, and localizable design
• A plus: an understanding of CSS
