Senior User Experience Researcher

As a Senior User Experience Researcher (UXR), you’ll drive and execute the strategy of how we conduct user research, enabling  the team of designers, product managers, and engineers to understand user needs. You’ll work with stakeholders across functions and levels and have impact at all stages of product development. You’ll play a critical role in delivering research with a goal of creating useful, usable, and delightful user experiences on our platform. You’ll explore user behaviors and motivations by conducting primary research such as field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis.

1. Drive product strategy and advocate for the user through clear and timely communications to partners and leadership, working closely with product managers, design lead, software developers, and strategy
2. Plan and implement strategic and tactical research to inform product launches, innovation and improvements
3. Study and analyze user behavior through qualitative methods, including lab studies, field visits, interviews, ethnography, surveys, concept evaluations, etc.
4. Develop and leverage technical and business understanding to inform meaningful research
5. Encourage and advocate for change by highlighting research findings with actionable insights to diverse audiences through written reports, in-person presentations, and hands-on collaboration.
6. Ensure the team understands and addresses real, compelling pain points, and solutions to feel more intuitive, accessible, easy—and even magical.

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in an applied research setting, or similar.
• Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.).
• Relevant product research experience, either in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting.
• Hands-on experience researching highly technical users.

• Master's or PhD degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field.
• 5 years of experience conducting user research and presenting findings.
• Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process.
• Experience in a variety of product spaces, applied research and/or academic settings.
• Proficiency in communicating user research findings with cross-functional partners to drive impact.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $168,000 - 206,080 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
