Senior UX Content Writer (Hybrid Remote Ohio)

Job Responsibilities:

Develop user-centric content for Company's digital products to help users navigate the product. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, equipment content designers, global content managers, product leads, and content strategist software to create seamless user experiences. Create new content for customer-facing applications, ensuring consistency, clarity, and effectiveness across all touchpoints.

• Design System Content Development - Collaborate with design and development teams to create and maintain content for Company's Design System. Write clear and concise guidelines, principles, and patterns for various UI components, ensuring consistency and usability across digital products. Update and improve Design System content based on user feedback, industry best practices, and evolving product requirements.
• New Content Creation for Customer Experiences - Develop user-friendly content for web and mobile applications, including onboarding flows, product tours, error messages, tooltips, and in-app notifications. Conduct research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Integrate findings into content creation processes. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure content aligns with design concepts and enhances the user experience.
• Content Optimization and Testing - Conduct content audits and usability tests to identify areas for improvement and optimize existing content for clarity, consistency, and effectiveness. Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to measure the impact of content on user engagement, satisfaction, and conversion rates. Test different content variations to determine the most effective messaging and communication strategies.
• Miscellaneous - Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and goals, and ensure content solutions meet business objectives. Communicate content strategies, recommendations, and rationale to cross-functional teams, seeking feedback and buy-in as needed. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging tools for writing content. Champion UX writing best practices and advocate for the importance of clear, concise, and user-focused content within the organization. Perform other duties as assigned.

Hybrid Remote Ohio: Crown offers mostly remote work for this position. A reasonable commute is necessary since some onsite work is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience (UX) Design or related
• 5 years of UX content writing experience or similar (salary will be commensurate with experience)
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices, with the ability to collaborate with design and development teams
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant work samples -- Include portfolio link with application
• Ability to occasionally travel with overnight stays (0-5%)
• Reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday

Preferred Qualifications:

• Related Bachelor degree

• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), design tools (e.g., Figma), and prototyping software
• Experience working in a collaborative Agile environment with multiple teams
