The Western Union User Experience Design team is looking for a highly motivated Senior, UX Designer to join us to support our newly created product pillar – Value Added Services team. The Value added services team is responsible to create innovative customer-to business payment products (like Retail Money Orders and Bill Pay), Business to Consumer Payment products and Self Service Channels products (eg Kiosks and Stage & Pay product ) etc. As a Senior, UX Designer on the Value Added Services team you'll be contributing and leading the design and experience of our Value Added Services group of products for our retail and omnichannel customers.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work closely with research, senior stakeholders, product managers and engineering teams to brainstorm and co-create ideas, approaches, and solutions

  •  Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Sketch / Figma, along with our established Design System

  •  Ensure that designs follow best practices and use research & testing to inform and validate

  •  Confidently challenge the status quo, encouraging all involved to address root causes to ensure the best outcome for users

  •  Apply a positive and constructive attitude when giving and receiving all feedback

  •  Deliver high-quality design assets to the engineering team, along with clear guidance to ensure all aspects of the designs are fully understood.

  •  Provide ongoing support to engineering, with regular UX review checkpoints to ensure quality and that the system is being built as designed

 

Role Requirements

  •  5+ years of industry UX Design experience

  •  Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem-solving

  •  Experience on complex, enterprise-scale or consumer design projects

  •  Outstanding skills in professional design tools, such as: Figma, Sketch, AdobeXD, InVision.

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • A strong portfolio of innovative design work that demonstrates industry-leading design and business success. 

  • Experience designing for global products across multiple platforms.

  • You will need an online portfolio of your work to apply for this role.

  • Keen interest in, or knowledge of, banking or finance

  • Experience in POS and/or retail, KIOSKs etc

  • Being able to speak in Spanish and English is a plus

Salary

The on-target earnings range is $114,655 - $171,465 per year, which includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
