Senior UX Designer

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our dynamic and collaborative team. You’ll work in a tight partnership with product management, engineering, UX research, and the broader UX design team, creating innovative product design solutions for the unique challenges of our specialized and marketplace. This role will focus on strategic initiatives impacting both our buyers and sellers, and will draw deeply on your collaboration and innovation skills.

This is a hybrid role located in New York, NY (2 days/week in-office).

What you'll do

• You will collaborate closely with your product and engineering partners to define and deliver product solutions, from concept to deployment and beyond
• You will transparently and collaboratively align with other designers and product teams, with a generous sharing mindset
• You will proactively seek opportunities for product improvements, from strategic innovations to incremental experiments
• You will generate product concepts that support business and user goals 
• You will deliver detailed design specifications, working closely with engineering to actively support development and launch
• You will plan and actively participate in UX research activities
• You will advocate for consistency of visual and interaction patterns, contributing to evolving our design system and processes

Who you are

• You have 3+ years of experience designing at a consumer-focused tech company or in-house product design team, or equivalent agency experience working with technology product clients.
• You have experience integrating qualitative and quantitative research, including AB testing, into your design decisions
• You have the capacity to present and advocate for a clear design rationale to stakeholders across other disciplines

Nice to Have:

• E-commerce experience is a plus. Experience with high-end art and design, or with luxury brands, is also a plus

A portfolio of relevant work is required for consideration, telling the story of how you worked with your teams to solve specific product design and business challenges. It should illustrate your specific contributions, how you helped drive the design process, and how you followed through as your solution became a live product.
